This research project aims to investigate the relationship between social media use and mental health outcomes, including depression, anxiety, and stress. The study will use a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of the effects of social media on mental health. The study will involve a sample of 500 participants, aged 18-35, who regularly use social media platforms. Participants will be recruited through social media advertisements and online forums. Quantitative data will be collected through an online survey that measures social media use, mental health outcomes, and demographic information. Qualitative data will be collected through semi-structured interviews with a subset of participants, selected based on their survey responses. Data analysis will involve descriptive statistics, correlational analysis, and thematic analysis. The results of this study will provide insights into the relationship between social media use and mental health outcomes and will inform interventions and policies aimed at promoting mental health among young adults who use social media.
