The Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa

Digital Transformation is a driving force for innovative, inclusive and sustainable growth. African countries, in seeking to further reap the benefits that accompany digital transformation, are taking major strides towards prioritising and accelerating meaningful digitisation. It is on this basis that the African Union (AU) developed the Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa to not only provide a common and coordinated guide to enable African leaders to reap the benefits of digital transformation, but to also help mitigate the risks that might accompany these developments. The strategy builds upon existing initiatives and frameworks in Africa and bring together key players in the ICT sector across Africa to achieve its objectives.
